Visualising results
Ettan Progenesis provides all of the powerful data analysis tools of the ImageMaster product range, which continue to be developed on an ongoing basis. This maintains a unique level of flexibility for post-processing analysis.

A number of additional tools have been specifically developed for Ettan Progenesis. These include the facility to view images in 3D by plotting pixel intensity along the z-axis. These representations are rotateable and therefore the user is able to visually interrogate the image from any angle. Since this view can include the spot boundaries, the user can easily confirm the accuracy of the spot detection and boundary definition.

The images below show a faint spot shoulder, automatically detected by Ettan Progenesis, which is more clearly visible when viewed in 3D.

3D scatter plots are another new view that plots matched spots from three user-selected gels across three axes. By plotting these spots based on any of the available measurements for that spot, the user can then easily visually ascertain groupings or outliers which represent an area worthy of further study. By then clicking on a spot of interest, all the other available views, such as image window, measurements or match table, montage view or animation window, will all select that spot of interest, making further interrogation simple.

Data transfer - linking systems
With open architecture data export in XML, subsequent integration and processing within the user's existing systems is simple. Data can be extracted from Ettan Progenesis and entered into the users own database where it can be integrated with other biodata, such as sample data, clinical data or mass spec data and subsequently interrogated.
